After a series of tune-up matches against Bacolod-based football varsity squads, the Philippine Football Federation has named the final 23-member lineup of the RP Under-16 team that will see action in Oct. 3-11 Asian U16 Football championship Group E qualifier slated at the Panaad football grounds.
To don the national colors, along with 19 other booters, are Negrenses Shane Belera, Sidney Angelo Magbanua and Melecio Manuel Mentor of Victorias City , and Gerald Mark Layumas of San Carlos City . All four were members of the Don Bosco-Negros Occidental 14-Under team that topped last year's Philippine Olympic Festival in Cagayan de Oro City mentored by Warren Concepcion.
