Bacolod Football - EVFC-A, San Carlos FC champs in ladies bootfest

HOST-SQUAD Executive Village Football Club-A (EVFC) displayed skills and superiority as it bagged the 18-U division of the 1st EVFC Ladies Invitational Football League held over the weekend at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College football pitch.

Eventual Most Valuable Player Sharmaine Guancia led the EVFC-A triumph over Domingo Lacson National High School lady booters, 7-0 in the finals after routing counterpart EVFC-B in the semis, 3-0. The squad entered the quarterfinals with an impressive 11-0-1 win-loss-draw record.

Also suiting for the host-squad were Macel Dofitas, Athena Lobaton, Elyca Lacson, Carmela Lizares, Eda Viceno, Leah Molinos, Nicole Jalandoni, Hannah Servida, Debra Randall and Aina Martin.

EVFC-A was mentored by Warren Concepcion and assisted by Rinelle de Oca and Paul Espinosa.

San Carlos City Football Club (SCCFC), meanwhile, booked the 2nd runner-up title after defeating EVFC-B, 1-0.

On the other hand, SCCFC counterpart in the 14-U division copped the crown after defeating Talisay Minuluan FC, 2-0 in the championship.

SCCFC earlier routed Rizal Elementary School-A, 3-0 in the quarterfinals and Rizal Elementary School-B, 7-0 in the semis.

Awarded as MVP was Rizza Isabelle Carmona (SCCFC) while Marie Joziel Junco (SCCFC) and Johanna Martinez (Talisay) were named shalom dribbling winners as Charizza Limoran and Carmona of SCCFC won the ball juggling contest.

Composing the SCCFC U-14 team mentored by Vicente Ortigas and assisted by Warnel Banibani were Carmona, Limoran, Junco, Ednel Sijub, Janice Samillano, Kate Aguilar, Lynsay Laguanda, Nicole Sandoval, Janine Casalda, Jess Mar Palaubsanon and Frances Brade.

Other teams that saw action in this league were Celta de Victorias Kabankalan City FC, Bacolod City National High School, Cadiz City FC, St. John’s Institute, La Consolacion College-Gardenville, EVFC-C and St. Benilde School.

The league was bankrolled by All Asian Counter Trade Inc., City of Talisay led by Mayor Eric Saratan, CHMSC and EVFC president Rafael T. Lizares Jr.
