The Orange Juice of Davao City ruled the first Digos Mayor’s Cup 8 A-Side Football Festival held last weekend in Digos City.
Orange Juice blanked Digos Seniors, 2-0 to win the title in the single-round robin event participated in by seven teams coming from Davao, Malalag and Digos.
The Juicers were powered by veteran Herson Salmon, Buboy Arrieta, Pablo Garcia, Efren Alvaran, Jerry Altivo, Nonoy Garfin, Dax Ang, Walter Ravanes, Danny Adolfo, Praveen Relton and Jilson George Pulickal.
Salmon and Garcia were also awarded as the Best Defender and Best Striker, respectively.
The Digos Football Club headed by Jay Miguel hosted the event aimed to promote football with the support of the city government. Lito Delos Reyes
