THE Cebu Queen City United has released its new lineup just four days after holding a tryout last weekend at the University of San Carlos-Talamban Campus field.
However, coach Mario Ceniza said he might have to look for two more players after two of his members who are identified with Crazy Horse, the defending champion in the Aboitiz Cup, may suit up for their mother club.
Crazy Horse team owner Hayato Ayabe, one of the assistant coaches of Ceniza, may also leave the coaching staff to concentrate on Crazy Horse’s campaign in the the Aboitiz Cup.
Among the players who passed the tryout last Saturday were defender Mark Hilay, Albert Nangkil, Aljohn Armamento, midfielders Hanesin Prince Antony, Dan Marnilo Villarico and goalkeeper Charles Villarta.
However, before he can join the team, Nangkil and Mitsu Tsunakiri are expected to leave the team to rejoin Crazy Horse.
“Before our first practice, we will orient the new members on the team policies and have them sign a contract,” said Ceniza. The team’s first practice is toay at 6:30 p.m. at the Paref Springdale field.
The new members will rejoin Queen City regulars, Frederick Alazas, Alex Buanghog, Jan Michael Flores, Limhar Baunsit, Junard Aguilar, Ariel Cahilig, Marion Cubelo, Rommel Cuizon, Rene Menchavez, Ronald Mahilum, Josaphat Sacil, Carlito Abadia, Benedict Arriola, Dave Gerali, Yance Menchaves, Christian Delan and Julius Acre.

ReplyDeleteof course its a weak team compared to the other UFL teams that have national team players or have foreigners. limited ang budget, eh. magine paying P100,000 just for plane fare every time there is a game. yung taga-manila, pamasahe lang sa jeep.

ReplyDeletethat is why i would prefer an inter city tournament....logistics nightmare ang mangyayari sa mga taga visayas kung nasa manila lang palagi ang tournament.
im sure yung mga bagong kinuha, mga weak pa rin..hahahaha
