  3. At least they can beat Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. They would go because Qatar invited them and they have great facilities for training. At least they are not going to play high school and college teams.

  4. The odds are always stacked up against our Women's National Team the Malditas. People will -- especially Filipino men -- have trouble believing in this team. But I think the Malditas wouldn't have it any other way. Operating mostly under the radar is good. Less distraction, less hassle, less drama---more focus. They are distant away from where they intend to be, but they started this whole thing knowing that they are TOGETHER as a TEAM, that no matter disappointment and lack of support, that they have EACH OTHER. That's a team with so much CHARACTER! Theirs is a great journey.

And their challenge is this: to prove everyone wrong.

  5. if you can't say anything good, or do anything for the team, i suggest you keep your comments to yourself.
Let's support our womens team, they are Filipinos too, they have the same right as everyone else.

    Very true!

"if you can't say anything good, or do anything for the team, i suggest you keep your comments to yourself."

Shut up!! Quit being such a good-two-shoes!! If you can't handle the truth or anyone calling things as they are, then stay the F away!

  7. tawag yan game exposure...hindi nyo alam na kahit maliit un qatar, sila un maghhost for 2022 world cup. mas marami pang football field compare sa atin.

  8. It is nor true that they are one of the worst teams in the world. They have been starved of funds and so they have lost their FIFA ranking. They will win a medal at the next AFF tournament.
Yes, they should crush Qatar if this trip goes ahead. The real value in this trip is the oppurtunity to train in top class facilities.

  9. One word: EXPOSURE .

Teams like Kuwait are good because they have good exposure/experience in international matches.

LOL! What kind of an excuse is that?!?! That's like saying Spud Webb isn't short because he was deprived of the genes that would've made him taller. ffs!!

Anyway, starved of funds or whatever else, it is a fact that the Philippines is one of the worst in women's football.

  11. If you don't play you lose your ranking. If you don't have money you cannot host teams or travel to play. If all the money goes to a team ranked 166 in the world instead of a team ranked 80 in the world them the 80 ranked team will not play any games and will lose their ranking despite the fact that, unlike the team that is funded, they have shown that they can beat Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore.
I cannot figure out your Spud Webb example. No money means they do not enter the Olympics, AFC, or World Cup. No money means that the best Filipina players in the world cannot be brought in to play. No money means the team is coached by one of the parents.
They should be much more successful but the PFF, the DFB, and private sponsors have not funded the team which has the greatest potential to win medals and championships. Since the PFF won't pay for them to travel they should accept the invitation of the QFA and their funding.

  13. "I cannot figure out your Spud Webb example."

Clearly because your stupid!!!! Here just for you let's go over it again with a different example.

What you was, "they're not one of the worst, they're just starved of funds".

That's like saying, "Caligdong isn't short because he was deprived of taller parents". Or, "the Philippines isn't a third world country, it's just filled with corrupt gov't officials".

Bottom line, you don't make sense and its an idiotic line of thinking from you!!!

"PAg walang team, naghahanap. Pag merong sandamukal na pintas."

What the hell are you on about? Tell us or even show us the thousands upon thousands who are craving the women's national team? Please! lol!! Clearly you're also an idiot!!

  14. Let me put this in a way that you can understand.
Before they were prevented from playing due to lack of funds they were ranked 80 in the world. Not great but not the worst.
Now they are at the bottom of the rankings because they have not played. It does not mean that they are the worst. It means that they have not played.
My business, 2 university degrees, 2 houses, and 2 cars would seem to indicate that I am not an idiot. I also have coaching certificates for football.
Whether or not thousands crave the WNT has nothing to do with whether they are the worst or best in the world. What Filipinos crave is a winner, and given the resources, the WNT will bring home trophies and medals.
The most popular football player in the USA is Mia Hamm because she is a winner. The USA WNT receives $!0,000,000.00 a year in funding. They win championships as a result. In Canada, the WNT gets more funding than the MNT because they have a better chance of winning. Perhaps you should ask women if they think the WNT should be treated fairly. Or do you not know any?

  16. baka if they played mas lalong bumaba ang ranking nila, mas mabuti pang huwag na lang.

Qatar will host the 2022 world cup, ilang taon na kaya sila by that time. so whats the use in playing with Qatar team and in their field. Parang feeling nila they can qualify in the world cup , baka mga anak ng anak na nila ang makasali or baka ibang national team na ang ma-qualify sa world cup 2000 +++

akala ko ba you only play with the best , why are you playing now , with no credit on your side , pero might as well try it , at pag natalo pa kayo ewan ko na lang , may the worst be with you.

    Get a grip girls.
no sponsors , no support , no money means only one thing ... they don't believe in your team , that simple. it's a gamble , why bet or bid for the worst. Pasalamat kaya kayo na hindi pa inaalis ng PFF ang Title niyo as Women's National Team, baka pag gising niyo bukas hindi na Malditas ang WNT. Check your attitude also masyado kayong mayabang.

Ms. Benitez i know you are not an idiot , having all this degrees ,coaching certificates, houses , cars and all the richness that money can buy , better Buy out PFF , run for Presidency and Coach your own team , this way all will be fair for you and Unfair for all those na mas magagaling kesa sa inyo na highschool lang ang natapos , hindi galing sa buena familia at walang pera.
    Gets Mo!!!

  17. ^^ Kung di mo kaya suportahan... tumahimik ka na lang. At least sila may ginagawa para tulungan ma-angat ang ngalan ng bayan. Ikaw...ano nagawa mo bukod sa mamintas???

And here you have it, the latest ranking from FIFA... Philippines moved up to 87. Definitely a step in the right direction. Good job, PWNT!!! I hope you continue to inspire our youth and perhaps establish a solid foundation for future talents!!
