It's just gonna be a thrilling match anyway :0
Happy i don't have to watch such boring ten back football this time.

    1. How do you know it's gonna be a thrilling match? Thrilling match from our point of view or India's?! They could easily dominate the game and we'd have to defend most of the time. It then won't be "thrilling" anymore would it?! LOL!!

@jonny.... Philippines v India on Sunday, not Monday. hehe

      Delete
    2. Oh well so you're desperate to say that Azkals suck, yeah i agree (happy?), but it seems you don't know that India sucks as well. lol
      Know some football before trolling.
The two mediocre teams meet in a must-win match, why not thrilling? :0

    3. Whether the Philippines suck or not isn't the point you moron! The point was, you're so quick to say that you "don't have to watch ten back football" as if its outright gonna be an entertaining game where (most likely in your view) the Philippines will be able to show their supposed attacking prowess! India may suck, but its fact (even if you don't like to admit it) they don't suck as much we do.

      Delete
    4. Nah, there isn't such a fact. India is a cricket country and like us they just newly entered the football world recently. They suck as bad.
You seem to have forgot CC is the lowest competition in Asia for the teams who can't even compete in the normal qualifier for Asian Cup. All the teams besides NoKor enter Challenge Cup because they suck bad. lol
Who sucks worse? That will be seen tomorrow. But one thing for sure is that India is in no way that much better to the point where we have to spend most of the time to defend. If we could go offensively enough against Singapore or Malaysia, we surely can too against India. Just wait and see, it's gonna be fun.

      Delete
    5. no matter who sucks most....at least the suckers from India already won that sucking event and participated in the Asian Championship 2010....of course the teams here in the challenge cup (except N-Korea) might are too weak to compete in the normal Asian Championship qualifier but Indonesia, Hongkong, Malaysia and a few other suck also badly in the regular competition and have no chance to qualify.....so it (really) can become an interesting match tomorrow 'cause both teams make so many defending errors that plenty of scoring chances will be available.....have entertaining 90 minutes

      Delete
    6. Oh yeah? Let me add something. And another suckers called Sri Lanka, whom we beat 4-0 last year, was once RUNNER-UP of this sucking event LOL. That's how CC sucks. Ex-champion? Asian Cup participant? WHO THE BLOODY Fxxx CARES ? To give a Asian Cup ticket to Challenge Cup winners is like just AFC's charity policy for the big time suckers in Asia and India was just one of the receivers of it. That's all.

Of course Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia all suck, so what? No matter how it sucks, you can still enjoy the games if you love the team AND the game is well-matched. If you only want the best football in the world, you don't need to hang around here and just go stick to the La Liga or EPL. But do you know what? Even English 7th division supporters love their local team's games. They get excited to see the match against their local rival as much as they do at EPL games. That is called PASSION you probably have never had.

Of course i'll definitely be entertained, and seemingly you won't, then i'm the lucky one. I know how to enjoy EPL AND i also know how to enjoy Azkals' sloppy games at this suckers' level. It's good to have one more entertainment, isn't it? :0

    7. "India is a cricket country and like us they just newly entered the football world recently. They suck as bad."

No they didn't!! At least not in the same way we did! They have a viable league for a long time already and their clubs are regulars in the AFC Cup. That alone would tell you that they didn't just "enter the football world recently."

As for national teams... putting this edition of the Challenge Cup aside... but just in general, our national team at present (and for quite some time to come still) doesn't reflect the real level of Philippine football. So in terms of who really sucks... just put that fact in mind!

    8. Now i see what you're trying to say. With homegrown players only, we're no better than Timor Leste, let alone India. I know. Is that your point, right?

      SO WHAT?
I'd just thank to our dual citizenship policy for giving us current NT players. Without them, we're nothing. Yeah right. Everyone knows that. Again, so what? Does FIFA say you have to put only homegrown players on the pitch? No. Then what's the problem?

All i said in the first place was that vs India match would be thrilling cos we don't have to park the bus as we did vs NoKor. What the bloody hell is the problem with this ? Do i have to feel guilty for having non-home-produced players as our NT or what?

      Delete
    9. I agree. It isn't even relative to judge our NT by "local" players ability only since that's not the case. This is our NT regardless of its makeup of players. Judge this team as the way it is, not base on local players this and that coz that's irrelevant.

Seriously, this local-foreign thingy has to stop coz once and for all. :))

And this would be thrilling for those who truly support our NT. It's just some people here have enormous amount of arrogance that they have forgotten that we don't need or have to have the same view as their's to enjoy something. F it if they wouldn't enjoy the game. WTF do I care if they'd commit suicide for not enjoying the game. hahahaha. It'll be fun to watch this game. :))

    10. the trolls are invading your blog jonny. haha. the Azkals suck? so what? England sucked when it lost vs Germany at the WC. Brazil sucked when it lost to Netherlands. so every tough and weak football team in the planet suck! haha.

  7. india is a cricket country but football also famouse there.India qualified for the 1950 FIFA World Cup finals.but they boycot it.Then India won gold 1962 Asian Games where they beat South Korea 2–1 in the final.
The 1964 AFC Asian Cup india was runner up.
India had good history in football but recently india is very weak team in the world.

  10. I think we can win, but I don't expect us to win against tajikistan. Either way the lineup looks quite interesting. Though I think that Angel is going to be upfront and Chieffy on the wing.

Either way our offense looks good and the midfield with angel is interesting. Glad that Chieffy is back in and I only wish that Moy would start as well.

  22. Congratulations Azkals.

India lacking in attacking power and Philippines looked fluid in ball movement. But they also looked tired towards the end. I hope they have enough energy for the match with TAJ.

    1. They looked uninterested more than anything. They way they played against Tajikistan and now us, they looked like they would rather be at home or something.

It's also quite refreshing that Caligdong is only getting limited playing time. We look much more fluid without him!

  25. good job for the Azkals. next stop: Tajikistan! remember in 2008, they won over us by 1-goal difference, right here at home at the AFC CC qualifiers. this time around, if we win, it'll be the sweetest revenge we have to earn! go Azkals!

  26. Jonny, with the same goal difference and goals allowed and goals scored, what happens if we draw Tajikistan?

    1. as far as I know...there will be a penalty shoot out

      Delete
    2. and I think the penalty shootout will not be who wins the match as I don't think there will extra time. The match will be recorded as a draw and the teams will receive one point and then the shootout will decide who progresses. Am I right?

      Delete
    3. i think that's right. no extra time, every team gets 1 point credited (as a draw) and the penalty shoot out will be held to determine which team advances to the semi final

      Delete
  28. I guessed 50-50 fight against India but they were weaker than i imagined. An easy win.
Now, i'm sure vs Tajikistan will be the real well-matched game for us. I watched them playing vs India and vs NoKor, and they got more dangerous attackers and more fluid midfield than India for sure, but nowhere near NoKor's level. 50-50 chance for us. Plus it's like the survival/death match. Gonna be one hell of an exciting game baby!!

BTW, since 2010 AFF upset against Vietnam, all the teams we have beaten in FIFA matches are like

    Mongolia (H)
    Bangladesh (N)
    Sri Lanka (H)
    Macao (N)
    Nepal (H)
    India (H)

4 out of 6 are South Asian teams, and South Asian football has always been the least respected, notches lower than even ASEAN football. And the other two, Mongolia and Macao are even worse teams.
Now, therefore, it's time to put a decent name on the list and that should be Tajikistan! And then who knows shortly after that Turkmenistan or Palestine will be added ?!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. India are a decent team! They just didn't show up in this tournament! But all of that aside, you're getting ahead yourself. Beating a "decent team" as per your definition, isn't easy! It's not like we're that great of a team to begin with anyway!

so nung pinalitan ni bahadoran naging fluid ba???since vs nokor he play not good.....typicaly na pinoy maraming daw alam sa futbol pero indi naman pala naglalaro....

anyways congrats to azkals....hope they beat tajikistan...

    3. lol!!! Whatever!! You really want to know here... I'll answer your stupid ass questions!!!

      He started upfront!

= anu ang natural position ni caligdong???

      He's a left winger!!

Nobody replaced him upfront! Caligdong & Angel interchanged a lot and as the game went on Caligdong started playing his natural position more until he was subbed!

"kung sinu man"?!? LOL!! That suggests you don't even know who replaced him!! Yet you're having a dig at me for saying he was ineffective?!?! But just so you know, it was Misagh who replaced him!!! And yes bagay siya doon!!

= maganda din ba ang laro nya???

No shit! I'm the one saying that we were more fluid when Caligdong got taken off!

Rotation?!?! LOL!!! What rotation you talking about?!? You're just randomly trying to come up with any and all questions for the sake of it because for one, you yourself don't know the answer!!

Umm... NO! If a certain player played like shit I'll say so, be it Fil-for or not!! Hell, I don't even like Angeles, I think he's quite shyte and he's Fil-Italian. I don't even know what Weiss' fascination with him is! Most of the time it will be the homegrown players that will get more stick because they just aren't as good as the others.
