These players were in the roster for the
ASEAN tour and will probably also get a call-up for Football Peace
Cup. Dont think any foreign based players will be available.
Just 20 players so maybe three more will get a call-up. A third GK , another defender and a forward ?

1. i hope the old guard won't get called up. we need pace and stamina.
ReplyDelete2. i read a goal dot com article stating that wenger likes converting under performing wingers into world class strikers (ex. rvp, henry, gervinho) so, why not try out misagh up front?
also i hope pasilan, doctora, barbaso and other ufl standouts get their shot again.
2. Arsene Wenger isn't our coach!! This also isn't a club team, it's a senior national team! If you're gonna convert players, it should be done at club level or in one of the youth national teams. This is also why I think trying to convert Christiaens to a LB is absolute BS! As for Misagh, he's a player that needs a bit of time on the ball, he'll get that by playing out wide. Plus he's more of a super sub a not a starter.
DeleteHello! I agree, but we don't have that luxury given our current set-up. So at least for the next year or 2, senior level experiments, in my opinion, are needed. But of course, you are very much correct since experiments ought to be done in the youth level. Unfortunately, the needs of a club may not be aligned with the NT so sa u23/18, etc na lang.

ReplyDeleteThis is was suppose to be the Long Teng Cup. So maybe some Long Teng Cup rules will apply?? Like only a 20-man squad being allowed.

ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to Paolo Pascual? He was a shoe in before. I think they should leave out Chad Gould for now.
ReplyDeletePaolo has been injured, Im not sure if he has recovered . If he is among the best three local GK`s is another question.
