Melvin Cavante: What Div is CFIM(Rufo Sanches mother team)playing?
If you see how Rufo Sanches plays for Stallion,,and Patino scoring regularly for Cordova CF, you can make the comparison how good Patino is and what impact he can give in the MNT.

    1. CFIM is in the Tercera Div, actually 4th tier in Spanish football. Carli and Angel were playing in this division just before joining the Azkals. Juani is playing in this division now.

Patino is in Segunda A which is second tier, one notch below the Primera otherwise known as La Liga, where the big guns play. So this guy is in a very competitive division and one can safely assume is top quality.

    1. That idea has gone out the door with the current management. There are quite a few players who shouldn't even be starters or who shouldn't even be called up be still continue to be.

    1. This is the national team we're talking about. There's no such thing as having too many players for each position.

But ya I agree, Araneta shouldn't even be considered anymore!

  6. Nice!

    Personal life

Patiño was born in Madrid to a Filipina mother. In 2012 he was reported to be applying for citizenship of the Philippines, to open the possibility of playing international football for that country.

  7. His story in his own words:
"One day in the locker room of Cordoba, the subject came up that my mother is Filipina. Then, a colleague remembered the story of Angel Guirado, He had also played in Cordoba, some time ago and also had Filipino roots. He went to play there and is now a star. Damn, I had to find out more! So I contacted him through Facebook and asked him what he had to do to try me, "he explains. Within months, the mechanism for handling dual citizenship was launched . If all goes well, soon, will be defending the shirt Patiño Philippines, for the pride of his mother. "She is very happy. He took me to his village a few times when I was little. The last, when I was about 12 years. It's a very different culture, I remember seeing a lot of poverty. But it's a great opportunity. And I'm very proud, "he remarks.
