Ceres-NOFA to Test Stallion in PFF-Smart Club Football Tourney

Visayas Leg leader Ceres-NOFA (Negros Occidental Football Association) will test its strength when they clash with 2012 UFL Cup defending champion Stallion Football Club of Iloilo at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium football field here on Sunday, January 13.
Coach Freddie "Nene" Lazarito, who also steered Ceres-La Salle in the conquest of Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) in Roxas City, Capiz last December 29 said, it will be a big challenge for the team when they will face the defending champion after the draw lots for the Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-Smart Football Club Championships.
Ceres-NOFA swept the regional qualifying last November in San Carlos City along with Queen City Football Club of Cebu. Ceres-NOFA was bracketed in Group A along with Queen City FC of Cebu City, Pasargad FC, M’Lang FC, Flame United FC, Baguio United FC, Romgarjal FC, and Nomads FC. Stallions, on the other hand, I in Group B along with Pachanga FC, Philippine Army FC, Kaya FC, Loyola FC, Gen. Trias International FC, Green Archers United FC and Global FC
"We face the early challenge against the United Football League champion Stallions and it’s a big task ahead for us. However, I told my wards not to be complacent and just play their games hoping to get pass through the test," Lazarito said during the Provincial Meet who inform us of the assignments where they held their daily afternoon practice.
The squad is composed of Aldrin Dolino, Korean Yoon Byeong Jun, goal keepers Korean Hyoun Jae Hun and Jurex Replentes, skipper Jason Cordova, Lemuel Unabia, Antony, Abelardo Solinas, Jose Emmanuel Diel, BJ Bagiuoro, Jayson Panhay, Joel Bedia, Ian Treyes, Richard Sumabong, Angelo Bahoyan, John Timothy Bolo, Joshua Beloya, and Koreans Choi Gun Hee, Yoon, Yu Young Jin, Hyoun Jae Hun, Kim Jung Mook, and Sim Hyoung Min.
Assisting Lazarito are Korean Cha Soung Yooung, Ramon Janeo and Ali Go. Team managers are Ricky and Leo Rey Yanson.
The Stallions is mentored by Ernie Nierras with players composed of veteran booters from Barotac Nuevo led by Ruben Doctora and several Korean nationals and Spanish striker Rufo Sanchez from Spanish third division side Internacionale de Madrid CF.*
