  5. A very good change imo! This also makes the League and Cup extremely unpredictable. I can see clubs such as Nomads, with it's expats, PSG, with it's Iranian players and Team Soccerroo, with its Koreans from Gen Trias, struggling hard next year under this new rule. Even Stallion could have problems since they played with 10 fors in their last game. At the same time, teams like Loyola and GAU don't have to adjust their starting line up that much since they already have a lot of filipino players in their line-up. Global will cheat its way through as always though... Kaya should be able to adjust with Santi helping them, but they shouldn't be a danger for the title contenders. Same goes for Pachanga. GAU, Loyola and the Armed Forces teams are the big winners of this new rule. Might be Loyolas big chance to finally win something, as well as the Archers and offcourse Global.

  6. hallelujah praise the UFL, also consider foreign born filipinos as foreigners. remember, we need to prioritize the development of football here, to force the clubs to develop local filipinos instead of hiring foreign born filipinos. this will entice the locals to appreciate football more. although foreign born filipinos tend to be genetically superior due to some of their Caucasian features

    1. The UFL does consider foreign born fils as fils if you read the list correctly (last point). I was born to a fil mother and was raised and grew up in the Philippines. Does that make me less a filipino than others? According to the list (fil parent) I am one. I agree that the priority has to be to raise the grassroots program and to motivate more homegrowns to join the clubs, but this league as well as the NT would be nothing without the fil fors and would never have gotten the level of attention that it has today. And imo it is going to stay that way for a very long time, since fil fors get much better education in terms of football. The genetic advantages of which you speak of are also pure nonesense.

    2. IMO, some of the clubs has gone way overboard with their recruiting policy. What i mean is, the level is very low, and dont tell me it isnt, coz i have played there myself, and i have a friend who has played there who share the same views as me, and some of the clubs are recruiting players that are to good for this amateur league. Spending alot of money, and this is in a league where attendance is free. You wont find a league like the UFL anywhere in the world. Some of the clubs only exists because of rich "uncles", and a couple of few sponsors. The clubs would rather get foreigners than local players. That is really a shame.

    3. Because the local players are shit. You used to play in the UFL as well as a friend of yours? You and your buddy are no longer playing there for the simple fact that you are not good enough. If I was a rich uncle, I would not spend a lot of money on crappy players such as yourself. Why would I invest on shit?

  7. About time! This will benefit the future of Philippine football.

  8. what about a foreigner that grew up in the philippines since 8 months old? is he considered an outsider if he speaks better filipino, ilonggo, and bisaya than most of us?
