TEN-man Laos converted a penalty late in injury time for a 2-2 draw against the Philippines in Group A of the 5th Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy last night at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Laos were down to 10 men early in the first half after Sitthideth Khanthavong was shown a red card in the 18th minute.

The Philippines finally broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute courtesy of Jose Elmer Porteria in the 42nd minute for a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Tiny Bounmalay equalised for Laos in the 74th minute but the Filipinos stuck their noses in front again just two minutes later via Jason Nicolas Maria Dantes de Jong.

Laos stole a point from the game with Ketsada Souksavanh scoring from the spot just before the final whistle.
