Philippines Football League champion Ceres-Negros’ unexpected victory over Brisbane Roar in the AFC Champions League has left the club with a difficult challenge of securing a visa.
The Busmen have been forced to delay their departure to China for a day, leaving them with little time to prepare and acclimatize for their playoff match with Chinese Super League powerhouse Tianjin Quianjian slated Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Club officials are hoping to get the Busmen’s visas by noon on Monday that will enable them to immediately fly to Tianjin via Hong Kong or Beijing.
As if playing the Chinese side teeming with world class players is not enough, Ceres will also play amid freezing conditions.
The Busmen returned from Australia on Thursday night after stunning Brisbane Roar, 3-2, at Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre.
